How it started…
The collaboration began when the client urgently needed to expand their development capacity. Initially, they requested 1 front-end and 2 back-end developers, but as the product evolved, the need for specialized skills grew rapidly. Local hiring proved too slow and limited due to the niche expertise required.
After analyzing expectations and skill requirements, Newxel recommended building a dedicated offshore team in Ukraine, a talent market rich in senior engineers with strong cloud, backend, and data-driven expertise.
Within a short timeframe, the first three vetted developers joined the team and immediately accelerated product delivery.
Over time, the offshore team expanded to seven highly skilled engineers, seamlessly integrating with Firebolt’s in-house staff and driving continuous innovation across the platform.
Challenge
The client came to us to handle their recruitment process. As a fast-growing startup, they were scaling and needed to hire more developers to speed up their product development. Initially, their request was for a front-end and 2 back-end developers. Later on, they needed more diverse specialists.
But hiring developers was not the only challenge. They needed developers who were guaranteed to meet their specific requirements due to project complexity. As a result, they came to us to facilitate the hiring of the best talents.
The client faced several critical challenges. Their complex product architecture required specialists with highly specific technical backgrounds, while local hiring limitations in Israel made scaling both difficult and costly.
The company’s fast growth pace demanded immediate engineering support, and their sensitivity to quality left no room for mismatched hires. Any delays in staffing risked slowing product innovation and delaying release cycles.
Solution
To meet the client’s complex technical requirements and fast-scaling needs, Newxel recommended building an offshore development team in Ukraine, where a large pool of skilled and cost-effective developers was available. The client approved this approach, recognizing it as the most efficient way to access specialized talent while maintaining project speed and quality.
We began the recruitment process by shortlisting only candidates with the precise technical skills required. All assessments, negotiations, and background checks were handled by Newxel, ensuring that only highly vetted developers were presented. The first three hires: 2 back-end and 1 front-end developer, joined the team quickly, allowing the client to accelerate their product development immediately.
Beyond recruitment, Newxel provided full operational and HR support, including onboarding, regular 1-to-1 meetings, performance monitoring, branded equipment, and employee engagement services.
Over time, the team expanded to 7 specialists covering full-stack, front-end, back-end, DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, and design roles. We also facilitated relocation for key developers, creating a stable, high-performing offshore team that continues to grow with the client’s needs.

Rapid onboarding allowed new hires to contribute immediately, ensuring timely feature releases without compromising quality, while the cost efficiency of offshore staffing proved significantly more sustainable than local hiring.
The team seamlessly integrated with the client’s product development processes and workflows, maintaining consistent communication and alignment with in-house engineers.
High retention rates were supported by proactive HR engagement, fostering a motivated and stable team environment. The collaboration extended beyond engineering, encompassing delivery management, HR processes, and operational support, building a trusted, long-term partnership.
Additionally, relocation support was provided for a specialist and their family from Israel, highlighting the client-focused, people-first approach that underpinned the success of this offshore initiative. This model not only addressed immediate scaling needs but also created a foundation for ongoing innovation, knowledge sharing, and strategic growth.
