As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing test environments for new automotive platforms and programs. You will be responsible for designing hardware rigs and integrating software and electronic components to maximize the test value. 

Your work will be integral to the Continuous Integration (CI) process, providing vital feedback on the electrical systems, and ensuring high quality, and robustness. Your focus will be on enabling automated integration and visualizing the status of the system under test.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and maintain test infrastructure for automotive platforms
  • Create, write, run, and analyse automated tests for new software and electronic systems
  • Develop and improve toolchains for test automation
  • Design and execute test cases using Python, Robot Framework, or CAPL
  • Work on continuous improvements for test automation and fault tracing in both hardware and software
  • Gain a deep understanding of vehicle systems and electrical functions through software development for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rigs

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in test development and test automation
  • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Robot Frameworks, CANalyzer, CANoe, and CAPL
  • Experience with automotive testing and fault tracing
  • Knowledge of testing in a Continuous Integration (CI) context
  • Experience in a large-scale software company
  • Strong teamwork, proactive, creative, and driven attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Experience with version and revision control systems, e.g., Git
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or similar automation tools
  • Previous work with HIL rigs and automated test systems in Vector rigs
  • Experience with Agile development processes, e.g., Scrum
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Knowledge of Linux systems
