We are searching for a Software Developer (Motion Control) for a world-known automotive giant for developing innovative and ecological car technologies! You will join an on-site team in Sweden and play a key role in developing and verifying software functions within the motion control area.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from early design and implementation to function testing in simulation environments and vehicles.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and verify software functions based on specified requirements and document the solutions
  • Design software requirements and create test cases for software testing
  • Perform software tests and evaluate results, analyzing and troubleshooting any issues 
  • Plan and organize activities to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and participate in agile development processes
  • Utilize Git, JIRA, and Python for software development tasks
  • Develop and utilize microservice architectures using Docker
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of optimal control concepts within the vehicle dynamics domain

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Control, Physics, or a similar engineering field
  • Proficiency in Git, JIRA, and Python for software development tasks
  • Familiarity with Docker and experience in developing and utilizing microservice architectures
  • Strong experience in automotive software development
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, signal processing, and state estimation
  • Good understanding of optimal control concepts within the vehicle dynamics domain
  • Experience in Autosar-based application software development
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PLM tools

Will be a plus

  • Familiarity with the agile way of working and experience with relational databases, gRPC, and REST communication
  • Knowledge of cloud-based application development, ASPICE, and ISO26262 processes
  • Possession of a driver’s license (level B)
