We’re hiring a Senior Backend Developer to join a product team working on a modern Financial Planning & Analysis solution within a fast-growing HR Tech platform. This role is ideal for a backend engineer who’s passionate about scalable systems, product ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work side-by-side with product managers and frontend engineers to design and build services that drive key business features for thousands of global customers.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend
- Proficiency in C#, Java, or Scala
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalable systems, and API design
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with unit testing, TDD, and mocking frameworks
- Independent, fast learner, and proactive team player
- Great communication skills in English
- Please note that this job requires physical presence at HiBob office in Bucharest

- Background in building FP&A, Analytics, or HR Tech products
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend systems
- Implement clean, testable, and efficient code in C#, Java, or Scala
- Build and optimize APIs for seamless integration across the platform
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to ship features
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement processes
- Take ownership of the full development lifecycle: architecture, testing, deployment, monitoring
