As a Senior Automotive Engineer, you will join the Swedish luxurious car provider and its brake hardware system development team, being responsible for the development of all vehicle brake discs and -dust shields for future AD2 and AD4 vehicles. 

With more and more complex vehicles, new customers, and use cases, also the requirements on the wheel brake are changing. We would like you to adapt the components to a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Development of all vehicle brake discs and -dust shields for future AD2 and AD4 vehicles 
  • You will be in charge of the whole component development process which starts with the requirement set, balancing, over supplier sourcing, packaging, component validation, and change management, up to the serial production launch
  • External supplier governance

Requirements

Hard skills:

  • Degree in mechanical-, mechatronics-or automotive engineering
  • Deep knowledge and broad experience in wheel brake hardware development e.g., requirement setting and verification on a dynamometer- and vehicle level (min 10 years)
  • Experience in the vehicle development process, milestones etc
  • Experience in component ownership e.g,. preparing 2D/3D-and technical documentation, FMEA, APQP, Design review etc.
  • Experience in international component supplier governance
  • Excellent knowledge of PDM systems and (spare-) part structure setup, preferably Teamcenter and GANT
  • Good knowledge of PLM systems, preferably System Weaver
  • Excellent skills in Catia v5
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Driving license B
  • A surface user of CAD
