We’re now looking for a passionate Product Team Lead to join the People Domain within the world’s largest retailer of furniture and home accessories. You will be responsible for keeping the portfolio of bought/build products in the best possible shape to support the business and co-workers’ needs. 

You will lead a team of approximately 10 direct reports, Product Owners, and Product Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the teams to secure individual and team development and the transfer of competence as well as diversity of thought and a culture of shared learning 
  • Ensure everyone on the team is performing to the best of their ability through your guidance and support
  • Set vision, strategy, and metrics for your area, in close collaboration with other POs and PM in people planning
  • Manage time, cost, scope, risk, and communication for your area
  • Make sure that co-worker research is actively conducted to identify needs. Prioritize and act on these to give the users the biggest value. 
  • Follow up the KPIs and constantly iterate to make sure learnings and results are applied
  • Define OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) for your product(s) together with the team and key stakeholders. Ensure the team is aligned and working towards the same goals
  • Document learnings, adopt a continuous improvement approach and secure the transfer of knowledge to the wider organization

Requirements

Hard skills:

  • You have an extensive experience in iterative and agile product development as well as knowledge in techniques and tools used for discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement 
  • You have worked with setting a product vision & strategy for the team and making sure everybody knows where we’re going (and why) 
  • You have a data-informed mindset and have worked with quantitative and qualitative data to define and measure success
  • Previous experience in a managerial position in product development is a plus

Soft skills:

  • You are a person who leads by example
  • In possession of strong communication skills with the ability to build strong and meaningful interpersonal relationships
  • You influence, listen, and collaborate successfully with a variety of stakeholders in a complex organization
  • An advocate for teamwork and truly believes in the benefits coming from working together and being better together

Our partner is the world’s largest retailer of furniture and home accessories, covering about 1% of global wood consumption for commercial products.

They offer a wide range of home furnishings, kitchen appliances and various other goods that reflect the Scandinavian design aesthetic. Around 10,000 products are available at any one time, and the websites are visited by over 2.1 billion people annually.
