We’re hiring a PHP Engineer with strong Symfony experience to join a new project team building a blockchain-powered investment platform for professional football players.
This is a project-based role for 3–6 months, with a high likelihood of extension depending on the success of the upcoming funding round. You’ll take part in developing and optimizing core backend functionality, including user verification flows, third-party integrations, and high-scale architecture.
Responsibilities
- Gain an in-depth understanding of how the platform operates
- Maintain and expand core backend functionality of the application
- Implement a new design and improved operational logic
- Develop and integrate a full user verification system, including KYC-compliant registration
- Set up phone number verification, two-factor authentication, and notification systems
- Implement email communication flows and user address validation
- Integrate third-party data from news and football stats providers
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in backend development
- Expertise in PHP (v8.2) and Symfony (v6)
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL
- Ability to take full ownership of your work
- Advance English and strong communication skills
- Nice to have: Kubernetes, Docker, Elixir
