We are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer that will work together with the in-house software teams and electrical hardware teams in the in-house project, as well as the supplier teams of our world-known Sweden automotive client.
The scope is global, strategic, and long-term!
Responsibilities
- Lead a defined and strategic area of technical expertise with a high degree of autonomy, considering business and customer dimensions
- Develop acquired competence, as well as participate in business development
- Develop and secure required competencies within the company in a defined, top-critical, and strategic technology area
- Coach team members in architectural principles and strategies
- Take an active part in the long-term development of the complete system
- Take part in defining solution intent for all aspects
- Responsible to develop the platform, system architecture, technical strategies, and roadmaps
- Lead continuous improvement actions
- Coordinate system leader concept investigation and monitor the progress until the final delivery
- Approve EE system-related changes and endorse strategies for EE systems
Requirements
- Experience working with ISO-26262
- MSc in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent Merits
- Experience in battery systems or electrified vehicles
- Experience in working with electrical safety
Will be plus
- Experience in C development, MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
- Experience in a functional safety lifecycle (ISO-26262)
- Functional safety ISO 26262 certification
