Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of skilled Design Engineers and Group Design Leaders
- Use CATIA V5 to create engineering design solutions for exterior automotive components
- Drive the development process from concept to production, ensuring that time, technology, and cost constraints are met
- Ensure that engineering designs meet product design, surface appearance, attribute functions, and manufacturing requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, manufacturing, and various attribute areas
- Engage with external suppliers to ensure quality assured deliveries
- Proactively identify and address engineering design challenges
Requirements
- Master of Science or Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent competence through education and/or professional experience
- Technical aptitude and a strong interest in automotive design
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 with documented experience in its use
- Knowledge of the product development process system, such as VPDS, and global technical development
- Familiarity with engineering design, manufacturing processes, mechanical joining, and materials behaviour
- Specific knowledge in areas relevant to automotive design, such as injection-moulded and painted plastic design, sheet metal design, or related expertise, is considered a merit
