We are searching for a CAD Drawing Checker for a world-known automotive giant for developing innovative and ecological car technologies in Sweden!

As a CAD Drawing Checker, you will be responsible for leading design check activities and reviewing technical solutions to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Your attention to detail and expertise in CAD systems will be critical in maintaining the integrity of the engineering design of the project.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead design check activities in projects, ensuring adherence to design guidelines, specifications, and industry standards
  • Review and approve Design Change Notices (DCNs) for technical solutions, verifying their accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct pre-checking and technical reviews of engineering solutions to identify potential errors or discrepancies
  • Approve, support, and release CAD data in CAD systems, ensuring it meets quality standards and is ready for use by the design team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and engineers, to resolve design issues and provide guidance on best practices
  • Continuously improve design check processes and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated on industry trends, CAD software advancements, and design standards to ensure our designs are up to date and aligned with best practices

Requirements

  • Solid experience in CAD drawing checking and design verification within an automotive industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and familiarity with CAD data management systems
  • Strong knowledge of design standards, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in engineering drawings and documents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose solutions to design issues
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
