We are seeking a Back-End Developer to join a compact, high-performing team and take ownership of backend development with Python (FastAPI) and MongoDB. This role is ideal for an independent engineer who enjoys working across the stack, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and wants to make a direct impact on a live product.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with Python
- Solid knowledge of FastAPI, Pydantic, and RESTful API design
- Comfortable with MongoDB and data modelling
- Excellent English communication (written + spoken)
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently
Will be a plus
- Experience with React
- Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, GCP, or Terraform
- Analytics or dashboard experience
- Product or startup experience with tight feedback loops
Responsibilities
- Develop backend features using Python (FastAPI + Pydantic) and MongoDB
- Use various AI foundation models APIs
- Extend and maintain REST APIs to support our frontend
- Debug across the stack, solve problems end-to-end, and own features from design to deployment
- Work closely with a small team of passionate engineers and founders
