Responsibilities
- Develop Service and Content Providers for the digital cockpit product built on Google Android Automotive OS, and integrate them into release flows
- Develop applications for testing Google Assistant and Google Maps functionality, enabling exceptional-quality feature delivery in fast development cycles
- Take ownership of quality from day one, moving things forward, shaping the processes, and choosing the tools you need to do your best work
- Work with HIL (Hardware In the Loop), test automation, Android development and DevOps that will reshape the in-vehicle experience
Our ideal candidate
- You are interested in Google Android device testing, automating test cases and Android compatibility testing (appreciated if familiar with Google Automotive Services)
- You are familiar with modern software engineering best practices such as pull requests, unit testing and continuous delivery
- You have the knowledge and an interest in communication protocols such as Flex Ray, LVDS, MOST, etc
- You have experience with SUT (system under test) based on real hardware (rigs, test benches)
You will be successful in this position if you
- Are an open, flexible and communicative person who has a couple of years experience with Java and/or Android development environments
- Believe fast and stable automated tests are an important pillar for building a highly successful infotainment platform
Requirements
- B.Sc. or equivalent training/experience in Computer Science or other relevant subject area
- 3+ years of industry experience
- An interest or background in the automotive industry or infotainment domain is a plus
- Experience with Java/Kotlin
- Experience in developing native platform software for AOSP using Soong
- Ability to use and strengthen your modern programming skills to develop software and APIs for the Android platform
- Knowledge of the Android SDK and a good understanding of the core components, such as Activities, Services, Content Providers, Broadcast Receivers, and Intents
- Knowledge of System APIs, privileged apps, permissions and VHAL is considered a plus
